" if i could write one letter to the world as we know it, i would list these rhymes that mean everything to me "
Basics:
Name: elliot rowan hastings. Gender: male. Age: seventeen years of age. Date Of Birth: october 21 1991 Place Of Birth: goosebay, labrador/newfound land.
Personality:
Personality: {North-pole} – There is one extreme to the other. There are the types of people in this world that can think of bright ideas instantly. They can find something out of nothing and turn it into something brilliant… or too spontaneous to be labeled as anything. Once they find that artistic task they appear to be devoted to what they are doing, at least for that little while. Often when this happens they can be accused of taking drugs like Crystal Meth when it is not the case at all. Elliot finds himself doing this often. He is a thinker and acts impulsively. Once a thought crosses his mind it is almost as if he has to create an action for it. This makes him appear very random or spontaneous, which he can be. Much of the time people see him animated and excited about nothing in particular. When he wants to do something, he is usually going to do it even if it is against or for the rules.
{South-pole} – There is one extreme to the other. Down in the slumps, as low as it can possibly go, there is a state where nothing maters anymore. Not the life of your own or anyone else is considered. Instead they are completely apathetic it is numb-making. Elliot has been this far before and near the point where he didn’t even think of anything at all. There are times that he is hiding in a dark confined space where he can avoid contact with anyone or even his own feelings. Often after he has this extreme state of depression, he finds that he is also angry. If he meets with a person when he has reached the state of growing anger, the results can be harmful, or fatal. Elliot can be very violent when the thought crosses his mind. When he takes out his violence, he usually is not angry anymore and falls back into a depressing state. They next day, sometimes, he will rise back to his north pole, as if nothing happened at all.

History:
History:Goose Bay has never been a great place to raise children. In fact it is quite possibly the worst place to live in all of Canada. Violence of all sizes, shapes and forms is reported on the news about this small town that it is ridiculous. Surprisingly, there are still many people who populate this city. One of these people who, somehow, had found a way to survive here were alexandre hastings and his girlfriend, ethal miller.
alexandre and ethal have been together since the dawn of time. Anyone that has known them would say something like "it may have only been kindergarden, but even then they knew they were meant for each other. Right out of highschool, they moved in together. They couldnt go into post-secondary - like most students of Goose bay - they were poor and simply could not afford it. It wasnt long before they concieved a child; elliot rowan hastings.
they had a loving family. the type of family that would all play in falling leaves together outside, sit at the table with a decent meal and the type of family that came together rather than drifted to do whatever they felt. Because of how together this family was, Elliot was able to learn quite fast for his age. Before he reached his sixth month of age he had learned how to say a basic senctence like 'daddy made supper today' or 'goodnight mommy'. Not long after he would be able to boogy around the house on his own two feet. yes, they were a perfectly, loving family. but then alec was born.
january 1st 1994, the brown eyed beauty was brought into their loving family. she was an unexpected child, but ethal and alexandre both saw it as a blessing. She was given a simular treatment to how Elliot had been raised. She learned quickly, almost too quickly. Only 4 months after she was born she was walking down the hall to her room. It had been an awkward sight to see when she was still so puny. Alec also seemed to want to isolate herself from her parents and brother. She would wander into her room and just sit there sometimes, doing nothing at all. such an odd baby she had been. alexandre never seemed to complain, though ethal had her worries over the little tyke.
this carried on for years. while Elliot, Alexandre and Ethal gathered around and played together, Alec would sit in her room, staring. Finally Elliot wanted to know why Alec was always on her lonesome. He was ten at the time, Alec seven; "Alec, missy, how is it going?" missy was a nickname that Ethal often called Alec to get her attention. It didnt have the same effect for Elliot. Alec continued to stare into space and ignore her brother. A moment of silence passed, and finally Elliot took a hold of Alec's shoulder. Instantly Alec jumped ontop of Elliot, scratching at his neck and face. "Alec get off! Mommy help! Daddy!" He screamed. Elliot lifted his hands up and put them on Alec's slender shoulders trying to push her away. As if it had never happened, Alec was back to where she was a moment before. Sitting on the floor, looking at the wall. Blood ozed from the open slits in his face. Ethal rushed in and looked at Elliot, throwing her arms around him. "honey are you okay, what happened?" Alec finally took a moment to glance over. Her's and Elliot's eyes met and they shared a look of intensity. It was at that moment Elliot noticed something in the reflection of Alec's eyes. The image of Alec ontop of her brother was playing in her left eye. Elliot said nothing to anyone that day and found himself in his room.
When Ethal didn't get an answer from either her son or daughter she called the school theripyst asking if he would speak to them. Alec, of course, did not. She either skipped the sessions altogether or else looked around the office as if her surroundings were far more fasenating. Elliot on the other hand spoke about everything; except Alec. Usually he stayed on the topic of all the happy family photos that had been taking when he was still a baby. He spoke of a simple life, and the things he liked about his parents and sometimes the struggles in school. Once the theripyst asked a question involving Alec, Elliot would freeze up and simply say "shes my sister, i cannot answer a question for her" or else "i love my sister" after doing so he would immediatly change the subject back to what he wanted to. It wasn't long till the sessions stopped altogether, there was no need to have them anymore. It was obvious that neither Elliot or Alec were going to say anything about their incident. they carried on.
It was the summer before Elliot was starting his first year of highschool. The episode that had happened between Elliot and Alec had been forgotten, lost in the four years of nothingness. Elliot was walking through the inner city of Goose Bay. It was something he didnt normally do, but he decided he should visit a new cafe and compare lattes to his usual place. He had decided that the ones uptown were better tasting, but the ones here seemed to have some more of a 'zing'. Walking back to the train station, Elliot noticed something. A fragile looking girl with bright turquoise hair. There was only one girl he knew with turquoise hair, and that was Alec. what could she possibly be doing in the allies alone? especially in this sector of town. Elliot was hesitant to go walk up to Alec, but he decided he should. As he walked in closer, he noticed that Alec was not alone. There were a few men that were talking to her, "... it has been costing us and we are not sure how much longer we can take this, Raquel" Raquel? that was Alec's middle name, no one called her by that. Not even her mother. "dont worry, i am sure its going to go over well-" Alec - Raquel stopped suddenly and turned around. "Elliot what are you doing here?" She sneered at him. Hearing her voice was different for Elliot, he hadn't held a real conversaton with his sister... ever. "i was just walking around town and-" "get the f**k out of here, ass whole!" she cursed at her brother. Elliot looked into her eyes, or more so, eye before he left. It was furious with different flashes. He saw people fighting, blood shed and someone pulled a gun. bang. Elliot was immediatly at his house; but things were not as peaceful as they would usually be.
the bang of the gun that Elliot thought he had just witness in Alec's eyes still rang in his ears as if he actually was there. Then siren started to ring. Elliot opened the door to watch the cars pass by their house, but instead the cars rush to his front yard, where the grass was blood stained and a lifeless body lay on the lawn. "Dad?" Elliot said under his breath. "DAD!" he screamed this time, running down the steps and to his father's side. "...theres been a drive by shooting" he heard an officer talk into his radio. "step back, son" another officer told Elliot. He broken. "Dont call me son, you aren't my father, this is my father, jack ass, do your job and help him, what kind of officer are you!" Elliot's voice rang out. A third cop came up from behind Elliot and started pulling at his arms, bringing them behind his back. The cops feared he might be a threat. The first cop carefully put a body bag over Alexandre. As he did so, Elliot continued yelling, "No don't do that! he's still alive! he has to be be still alive, your going to kill him in that bag!" "please calm down, we are only doing our job" the cop whom was holding him back tried to sooth. Elliot spat in his face. "dont talk to me" he ordered giving the officer a dirty look.
Alexandre had died from a drive by shooting. The gang couldn't be identified and the death broke the family entirly. Ethal was rarely home, neither Alec or Elliot knew where she went... but it wasnt home. Elliot usually stayed in his room, talking to himself, constantly writing things down. How did i get from one end of town, to my house in less than a second? he was even starting to write on his walls. every night he would write over the same thing that he wrote on his wall next to his bed. "i'm not meant for this world" Alec on the other hand continued doing whatever it was that she was doing. Elliot let her. It seemed everytime he came close to her, something bad would happen.
This particular night was different from the others. Elliot wrote over his words of his misplacement like usual, but once he was finished writing it out, he found himself in a completely different environment. Instead of laying on his bed, he found himself standing in front of a desk with a man looking back at him. "Elliot. Welcome to Lunar Academy" The administration of Lunar Academy had tapped into Elliot's power stream. Elliot did not realize it, but his misplacement was not his depression but it was because he was special. He did belong, but not on the east coast. Elliot soon found out that the reason he could find himself at certain places was being he could 'transfer dimensions', or so Lunar Academy told him.
"when your sister attacked you, you were able to find a switch in dimensions to send her back to where she was before, it is much like bending time, but is more strictly like bending space; no, i lied, it is more like being able to control the different universes that are outside this solar system. there is so much to be explored, and yet you have stepped foot in some that others cannot without realising it. he expect to see this drastic change when we enter threw a vortex, when really there is not much difference. how you have been able to work your power, is such that you are able to visit this other world for seconds and find yourself back in our dimension; it appears like you have went threw time when you are just coming back to our dimension at a different setting than you left it at; this is mainly because the time sequence in other dimensions are much different then our own; i hope i am not laying so much on you, dear Elliot," the administrator looked up to Elliot. Elliot nodded. It was a lot to take in. He was special. He never belonged where he was, yet somehow he was there.
Elliot joined the academy leaving behind the memory of him. Lunar Academy had to make sure that his tracks were safe. He was just another disappearance. He was taught to control his power by the teachers at the academy. He was far more stronger than when he first came to the academy. Much like when he was younger, he was a quick learner and found it easy to use his powers with more control. It was when the adminster asked him to use his power for them that things changed.
"i need you to send your sister somewhere," he started saying to Elliot. "send her somewhere, i dont think i can do that" "Elliot, it is important that she gets treatment." "Bring her here, then maybe you can help her like you helped me." "That has crossed our minds, Elliot, but i dont think we can help her, not yet. There is something about Raquel that needs to be handled before we can bring her here; she is special much like you are but if we brought her here right now, i am affraid that something wrong may happen." There was a moment of silence shared between them. Elliot wanted to ask what it was that made his sister different from him where she needed to be somewhere else. As if reading his mind, the administer spoke again, "Elliot, your sister has Bipolar Disorder; she can't think correctly anymore, it is hard for her to see what is happening now and what has happened, she needs help we cannot give her at the moment, please Elliot."
Elliot hadn't known much about Bipolar disorder. He knew it was basically like calling someone insane and he knew that people who had it could be dangerous, but without the experience he knew nothing of it. Elliot was sent back across Canada to Goose Bay. It didnt take long for him to find Alec. Her street name was Raquel, he remembered this, even the administrator called her Raquel. When he found her she was running through the streets smiling fiercly. Elliot called out her name briskly. "Alec" She turned around abruptly. "No one has called me Alec for a long time... wait... Elliot?" Alec looked at him intencily, her left eye flashing with images. "i'm sorry Alec" he said finally, resting his hand on her shoulder. "Elliot, oh my gosh, its so good to see you-" she was cut off when a flash of white sparked. Elliot was thinking of an institute outside of Quebec, this is where he sent Alec. It was dificult sending her threw a dimension, for a moment he thought he had lost her and started crying out of the blue. Instead he was laying in his dorm room at Lunar Academy. Alec had found her way into a cell holding; leaving a part of her with Elliot that would effect him forever. Having two people travel through dimensions was not one of the safest things to do, but when Alec and Elliot are together the results seem to become far more worse.
the next day Elliot was running around the campous. It was snowing outside and he was chasing snow flakes. "i'm going to find snowfakes that are simular! there must be simular snowflakes, some how! you'll see" he went up to random students asking if they saw a snowflake like the one melting on his glove. the administration had to stop him from scaring some of the students. It was found, that threw the travels with Alec, Elliot had found that his gene of 'bipolar' was not very far burried in his system. it was herititary in his family but never because apparent until Alec was born. Lunar Academy made Elliot start taking medication to start helping him. He can be very mellow, but when his medication starts to wear out he can reach both ends of the pole with drastic reactions.
