In a world made of fantasy , one could only dream of the powers that they wish that they could hold from the Hollywood movies they view . Behind the shallow media cover , there is a truth behind the ‘super heroes’ . Not your regular media hyped superman , but real people who appear as normal as any ordinary person . When these powers are exposed , those who obtain them are sent to Lunar Academy , the school of the real magic , the real powers .

History:
Miranda was born on 08/08/91at 8:08am in Hay River, Northwest Territories. She was welcomed by a loving mother, father and an older brother. Her first three years of life were normal, eating, sleeping crying, learning to walk, learning to talk doing what ever her brother did, typical toddler life. Three and a half a new bundle of joy joined their family, another baby boy. Life was normal, well, as normal as it can be when you live in the Northwest Territories. Age five, for Christmas her dad brought home three baby huskies, one for each child. Miranda named her puppy William, after her favorite person. William Shakespeare. She may have only been 5 but she had her mother to read his work to her as a bed time story.

Miranda started to take cello lessons at the age of six. With her mother owning her own book store, she grew up loving all types of books, and being extremely creative. With loving books, and the cello lessons her parents decided it would be best to get her into a sport. Her two brothers both played hockey, so she tried figure skating for a few years. Age nine, she became really good at it, but also really bored. She quit and took up a new sport; dog sledding. William was her lead dog, though her brothers didn’t let her use theirs so her kind neighbors gladly let her use theirs.

Age thirteen. Puberty. It started off normal, hair growing everywhere, getting the hour glass figure, growing chest, her period, and another thing. Not knowing if it was normal or not, Miranda kept it a secret from everyone. On the days when her mother was at work, her brothers were at hockey and her dad was on his monthly work trips she would sit in the bathroom with out a shirt and stare at them. They were small and weak at first, but then they started to grow bigger and stronger.

Thirteen and a half, they were full, big and beautiful. You could loose your eyes in the whiteness. The sound of the door opening always made Miranda freak and put her shirt on as fast as she could and run out of the bathroom. She was lucky that when her shirt was on you couldn’t see them. For some odd, strange, amazing reason, when she didn’t want them to be seen, they turned into what looked like a tattoo.

With all her marks above 95%, first place cello ribbons from her competitions, and first place trophies from dog sledding all over her room, Miranda felt like her life was actually meaning something. She could do anything she wanted with her life. When she was not studying, practicing or running with her dogs, Miranda worked for her mom at their bookstore, getting enough money for the vacation she was planning on taking in England as a grad trip. It was years till it happened but she was a planner.

Age fifteen. Miranda was entered into Canada’s biggest dog sledding competition for juniors. It was a three day race. On the last day of the race, she was in second place. Racing her dogs harder then they ever had she raced around a corner to see the girl who was in first places dogs sitting in the snow with her no where to be seen. Stopping her dogs she slowly walked over to the edge and looked over. The girl was crying and holding onto a ledge hanging over a bunch of sharp rocks at the bottom of a very high fall. She was cry, and was becoming weak, not being able to hold on for much longer. Then she started screaming. She was slipping, about to fall to her death. Panicking Miranda dove off the cliff, grabbing hold of the girl’s hands as she let go of the cliff. The girl passed out with fear, luckily for Miranda. Landing on the cliff she placed the girl in her basket and hooked her dogs along to her sled beside her dogs. Racing off she passed the finish line taking second place, giving the first place trophy to the girl, even though it was rightfully hers.

Once at home, Miranda’s mother noticed that she had two huge rips in her jacket and shirt. Freaking out, Miranda finally decided to show her mother. Sitting her mother on the couch she took a deep breath and spread her wings. The shock on her mothers face still gives her chills. After that she was shipped off to hot, warm, no snow BC. Lunar Academy made her happy in thought, but no more dog sledding, no more William, no more year round snow! It was going to be torture. So as a going away gift, her parents got her a gift, a baby kitten by the name of Hamlet.
